Liběna Rochová is one of the most influential women on the Czech fashion scene, if not the most influential. As the Head of the Clothing and Footwear Design Studio at the Prague Academy of Performing Arts, she has been educating the youngest Czech generations of fashion designers for many years

"An icon of Czech fashion. During her career, Liběna Rochová has achieved everything possible in the Czech fashion world. This first lady of Czech fashion is full of energy and pursues her passion so happily that her younger colleagues must envy her. Nevertheless, or precisely because of this, her designs dress well-known Czech personalities for the most prestigious events. She also devotes herself very intensively to charitable projects and it certainly does not look like she is going to slow down."
Františka Čížková
“Her visions, their hopes. Libéna Rochova, who, unlike other domestic designers, is unique and does not engage in understatement, often described as commerce, and moves on the border of art in her work. It would certainly be enough to present one’s own collections to arouse interest at home and overseas, yet, nine years ago, Ms. Rochova accepted an offer to teach at the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design (UMPRUM) in Prague and pass on her views on fashion, her work and her social role.”
Jan Králíček
"It would be difficult to find anyone in the Czech Republic who would have influenced the local fashion world as dramatically and deeply as Liběna Rochová. On the one hand, there is her own, strict authorial and non-ready-made work and, at the same time, her successful pedagogical activity.
Under her leadership, a number of important young designers have emerged from the studio at the Prague Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design, who were able to apply themselves not only in the Czech Republic, but also succeeded on the international level. Vision, determination, meticulousness, dissatisfaction, perseverance and an innate inability to make average compromises are the keys to her success. But it wouldn't be enough for Libena if she couldn't divide her energy and creativity, preserve it and maybe even multiply it for her personal projects outside of school.”
Jiří Macek
"Her name is most often mentioned in the media with the phrase, "the First Lady of Czech Fashion". She regularly presents Czech fashion abroad. She is Head of the Clothing and Footwear Design Studio at the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague. She pushes her students forward "to have an open mind, humility, decency and diligence", as she says. She fights for this. She loves fashion. Individuality, ideas, courage, creativity.”
